Could it Be??

I think it might be spring!

Granted, it has taken some coaxing.....I have had to force it to come in by dragging children out into the Vortex (known as "spring wind" in other parts of the country) for 15 minutes at a time in order to notice that the sturdy bulb flowers have bloomed.....and in the deepest parts of the woods where there is no blustering wind, there are droplets of rain hanging from buds on the trees, and the moss is absurdly green.

I think the Weather has taken a liking to seeing the children dancing about in the Icy Vortex.....because it responds by sending fits of sunshine into the playground, and drying off the slide now and then. It's Spring, PNW-style, and it's hard to believe, but it's HERE!

Pansies that have been growing and BLOOMING (on and off) since May, 2007!!! Can you believe it???

I've come to the conclusion that nowhere else in the world is the coming of Spring more appreciated than here in the PNW:) Even in places that have really hard winters!

I LOVE the picture of the muscari in bloom... All the pictures make it really look like spring. What's the white flower under that picture?

It's been raining for the last few days here... I'm ready for the sun! Elyana and I need that daily time outdoors! Otherwise I end up drinking my weight in coffee as I try to keep warm and cozy and not down by the weather. Really not good!

Oh, if I mailed you a blank check, could you buy me some Forza coffee? Their website wants to charge $4.95 PER POUND to ship. Which is ridiculous. I know I could even have you buy 5 lbs and stick it in a flat-rate box for less than $10. *rolls eyes*

I wouldn't want it to be too much trouble, but just if/when you get time.

Sure, Denise. Consider it done!

The white flowers are hyacinth: my all-time favorite flower!

Beautiful writing, Susi! And sensitive, delicate photos. Maybe you should try a photo essay book.

Your sister sent me over to meet you. I hope that is OK!
I'm a mom of four and had my twins while my husband was in Operation Desert Storm. So, I think we have some common ground.
You are a skilled photographer. That, I am sad to say, is not something we share!
