Violet seems to have found her calling in life.....
I have trouble getting her to leave. She breaks down in tears and actually runs away when I tell her it's time to go. It's so amazing watching her get better each week. She now will swing by herself on the bars, and even walks a few steps without support on the balance beam. She can jump with 2 feet, do a forward roll, and attempts countless new things each week.
The place we go to is NASA gymnastics, and they're dedicated to training kids for competition and excellence, and they start YOUNG (there's a 20-month old in her class). They're very well-thought-out and structured classes, too. I'm just amazed at the progress Violet's made in 3 weeks.
We will be attending all summer, and eventually I'll remember to bring the video camera. For now, these are just from the iPhone. :)

No way! I took from NASA until I was 12. I was actually doing meets by then, but had to choose between that and soccer :) Way cool! Glad Violet is having fun!
Brings back memories of little Susi and Lisi at the Doylestown Gymnastics club. What a grown-up she has become since I last saw her! Long hair! She is so much like you at that age.
Yes, yes, video please!!
I just LOVE these! She must be doing wonderfully, and of course her enjoying it. I have gone with a little girl I babysat and was convinced I'd like to do it with my own daughter.
Oh my goodness, she is TOOOO CUTE! Wish we could have the 2 in the same class...wouldn't that be a hoot! I gotta get Evie into that!
Can I just say "Olympics"? You never know................I think it is great that she loves it so much, too.
Just looking at the pics again and have to say that V is absolute cuteness in that leotard and pony tail. Wish B had some chubbiness left, too :)
